SpaceFusion (ANR Jeunes Chercheurs 2005) - Jan 06-Apr 09

SpaceFusion is a 3-year project funded by the French Research Agency (ANR). The goal is to perform multisource data fusion in astronomy and remote sensing. We use Bayesian inference to combine multiple images of the same area into a single, physically meaningful model (image in astronomy, digital surface model in Earth or planetary observation). Errors are propagated from the sources to the estimated model.

Working themes: Super-resolution, registration, stereo, DEM and DTM reconstruction, change modeling, uncertainties.

MDA (Data Masses in Astronomy) - closed

This project is intended to set up collaborations between IT labs within a Virtual Observatory framework. Our group is mainly involved in this project through hyperspectral data reduction and fusion.

Working themes: Multispectral image analysis, hyperspectral data reduction, data fusion.

IDHA (Distributed Heterogeneous Images in Astronomy) - closed

Within the context of Virtual Observatories, this project aimed at the development of tools to integrate query results into heterogeneous image distribution services. The group was involved through elaborating methods of multiresolution cross-identification from multispectral images.

Working themes: Multiscale cross-identification in multispectral imaging.
